St Joseph’s Nudgee College’s pursuit of academic excellence is reflected in the Year 12 OP results which demonstrate a continuing trend of improvement over previous years.

In 2011, Nudgee College had 211 OP eligible students. The remaining students received a tertiary entrance rank and/or are completing an apprenticeship or traineeship.

Of the 211 OP eligible students:-

  • 22.3% (47) achieved an OP 1–5 (Up from 19.9% in 2010)
  • 50.7% (107) achieved an OP 1–10 (Up from 49.8% in 2010)
  • 81% (171) achieved an OP 1–15 (Up from 79.6% in 2010)

Nudgee College congratulates its four OP 1 students and the significant achievements of the 47 OP 1 – OP 5 recipients which included ten OP 2; nine OP 3; nine OP 4 and fifteen OP 5.

Nudgee College’s QCS Test results for OP eligible students (including visa students) also showed results commensurate with the abilities of the 2011 cohort resulting in:-

  • 14.4% achieving an A
  • 30.7% achieving a B
  • 29.8% achieving a C
  • 22.8% achieving a D, and
  • 2.3% achieving an E

Dean of Learning and Teaching Mr David Johnson, congratulated the Year 12 students of 2011 in a recent letter to those families. He also recognised the significant contribution of the academic and support staff in their strong sense of caring for students and helping to build relationships with the boys centred on them achieving the best they can in learning and in life.  

Further details of our student’s achievements will be published in the first school newsletter in 2012.

Nudgee College extends its congratulations to the Year 12 students of 2011. We wish them every success in achieving their goals and hope they are accepted into the course of their choice should they be applying for tertiary studies.
